Odzu Kintarou Nagamasa

Greetings fellow travelers, my name is Odzu Kintarou Nagamasa. I live in a kingdom called Ealdomere, located in the frozen waste land called Kanada. Here the nights are long, some knights more than others. We have several customs that might seem strange to other travelers. We bathe regularly and are very polite. We hardly ever kill one another. We grow several crops that we export to other nations. Wheat, corn and hockey players are our most bountiful items. The favored hockey player is the French Kanadian variety. This is due to the smaller brain size which makes them less vulnerable to pain and that they have no teeth from a diet of mainly a sweetened water drink called a Pepsi and the occasional pastry.

There is of course our one down fall. We are hopelessly addicted to sweet pastries that are served by a Dark Lord called Timu Hor-I-tun. His grip on this land is firm, but his tyranny must be stopped. To do battle against this evil, I have recently been drawn into the world of cooking. I would always spend time in the kitchen after the battles (nothing better than cooking some tasty fish after a day of sending enemies off to the next life). It seemed a natural place to be, after all you get to play with fire and use very sharp objects to stab things.

I must confess that I miss the company of a certain far away Clan. I have met this band of great warriors when I was traveling as part of my Buddhist journey of 10,000 days. They leader is a Great Warrior called Sama. They are a gay bunch, with many souls who travel in a strange tent called the Red Pavilion. They meet under this Pavilion at night to recount tales of battle and other adventures, some which are not suitable for children under 14 unless accompanied by an adult.

They possess a great many skills which I have hear other clans speak of in hushed tones. They have drummers whose playing shakes the very earth when their warriors go into battle.

They have a Squire who knows the ancient art of seduction. Whose voice commands both men and woman alike to stand in front of great crowds and sing songs unlike any heard before causing them to move their bodies in strange rhythmic patterns to excite the crowds. Sometimes if they please this Squire with their performance, he will say “Very good” and award them with a small token of his love. This is an honor above all others.

I have been welcomed to this clan and am now studying my swordsmanship under their leader, Sir Ogami Akira. The training has been difficult and I tend to get shot in the back and arms a lot as I am picking up arrows, but my small skills are improving. He has also charged me with forming an Archery unit to carry his banner onto the field. I am greatly honored to do so.
